I also saw him in a film called "something in the city" where he would leave his house at 9.05am exactly on the dot every morning, he was dressed immaculately as a city worker with bowler hat, striped trousers and umbrella, he would travel by bus and train then bus again to the other side of london and enter a house re emerging ten minutes later dressed as a pavement artist which was in fact what he was, it was a great comedy.

Re: The Legend of Mr Pastry

Is there a copy of Mr Pastry dancing the Lancers available. At the end of his performance he used to perform a dance for eight people (called "The Lancers") on his own. This was an absolute scream. To conclude, I've laughed myself poorly at both Richard Hearn and Tremont Blackman.

Re: The Legend of Mr Pastry

Thanks Mick, that means we've established who Mr. Pastry is, _and_ who performed Mule Train!

Re: The Legend of Mr Pastry

As I remember Mister Pastry was called Richard Hearn. He did a slapstick act - usually featuring a lot of flour - on TV shows like Crackerjack in the 1960s.
