  • I'm finding my Vario unbearably slow. Only been using it a week or so but just launching Tasks can take several seconds. I used to have the MDA III which launched programs instantly.

    Tried your ActiveSync thing but doesn't seem to be my problem. How fast is launching apps on yours? And do you Sync with Outlook on a PC?

  • Have you updated the rom to the latest AKU2 version? Do a search on my site (or have a look at the related entries section over to the right) to find my write up on it. The AKU2 update provides a massive speed boost over the out-of-the-box rom.

    If you don't fancy flashing your rom, there's a registry tweak you can do to enable a small cache; this should speed things up a bit too. The rom update is your best bet though.
